Chuck's Birthday

Went snowboarding yesterday with my manager, Chuck. It was his birthday and you get a free lift ticket on your birthday. He has been boarding for many years and is really good, as you will see. It was a beautiful day in the mountains, but the local snow season seems to be coming to an end. Luckily Mammoth is going to have snow until the Fourth of July. It is 90 degrees here today, and that doesn't bode well for the local mountains. Time to focus on the waves. Too bad there is no resort over there. Pic taken from the top of Bear Mountain Resort. I like/dread going boarding with really accomplished boarders like Chuck, Ian, and another Ian, because they push you to and past your limits and you'll never improve without that. Ian will recognize this sign. He dragged me up there too. The run is called Geronimo. It is the highest peak served in So Cal. Expert run, but even a kook like me made it down. Making it down isn't that difficult. gravity takes care of that, but I made it down on my feet. Surprising, especially with the bloody Mary and beers in me. Kinda explains the maniacal laughter in the video.

What takes me about forty seconds to get down, Chuck does in about three. He's a little mental, haha. That's him in the beginning, loving the bird wings.

Here is another short clip of Chuck I took earlier in the day.
