Got the girls up the mountain today. Ian came too. It was the girls first real day of snowboarding, and I had no idea how they would do, and neither did they. Turns out, they did great! Ian was a HUGE help with Meghan and she was as happy as I can remember seeing her. Dawn was deathly afraid of going on the lift, but was a champ and didn't fall once....getting off the lift that is. It's funny, Dawn has a slower, methodical learning style in which she doesn't fall, but Meghan just jams down the hill and stops by falling on her butt. (as you will see in the videos)

So Sheldon is on the Lakers and Kobe is a Vegan? I be confused! But Meggie is a gonzo snowboarder! Bettah land on butt than head! Dawn is great, too, but, confidentially, does she know where the FRONT of the craft is? She harkens to the "Precautionary Principle," my kind of lady!
What a great day for everyone!! Now you have the whole family involved which is great. Have either Dawn or Meggie skied? It is great to be young and have no fear (Meggie). Proud of all of you!
No, neither have skied or boarded. Two years ago we all went to mammoth, and the girls took a class, but didn't really get a chance to try to go down the slopes. This was pretty much the first time they gave it a go. After a quick briefing by me, with what little I knew from that whole month of learning, they just went for it. Hopefully it can be an activity we can all share, Ian's fam too.
