Surfed the Magnolia/Brookhurst St. sandbar today. I wanted to escape the crowds after the last session, and the catastrophe that ensued. Waves were head high and as nice as they have been all week. I can't believe the conditions we have had this week. Everyday has been light offshores in the morning and sunny/glassy conditions lasting deep into the morning and some afternoons. Have I mentioned the fact that I love fall? Oh, about a hundred times? I love fall, 101.. I surfed alone for most of the session. The south drift kept the crowd from bunching up. Got a great workout paddling against the current. I surfed on the 6'0" Hynson, and with the tide softening things up, got a bunch of good, long rides.
