I'm so proud of Meg for leaving soccer, a sport she is comfortable with, but not as suited for as volleyball, and joining a sport and girls she has never met. She's made some great friends and is having a blast. Definitely a much bigger commitment than soccer, practicing three days a week, while keeping good grades in school in really demanding classes. Dawn has been a trooper, taking her to every practice and staying all day at tournaments, while I have to fit it in when not working.

Please tell Meggie how proud we are of her too. Dawn sure is a great Mom to spend all that time so Meghan can enjoy her sport. That is really a commitment for both of them!
I did. Dawn has been a trooper through it all. She gets off work, flies home to help Meg with homework for an hour before doing all her grading at the gym while Meg practices, comes home at 7:30 to make dinner and help Meg with a couple more hours of homework. And this is three times a week! Coaching soccer pales in comparison.
